More Firsts

Well Grayson has definitely seen a spark in his learning the past few months.  It seems as though he took the 18 month checkup sheet that the doctor gave us at his 15 month appointment and set a goal to start crossing items off the list.  So if you have known me for even 2 seconds you will know I can be quite the worry wort so these new found abilities have not only been a joy to experience but a huge relief to feel like I'm not totally messing this parenting thing up.  (How come nobody tells you how much you will tie your own self worth with that of your childs accomplishments BEFORE you get pregnant!!!)  So anyway the past few months have brought along learning new words and phrases (No Touch, Car, Truck, Duck, Get Down), new sounds (Quack, Roar, Baa), new body parts (ears and belly button), new sign language (help and thank you), and how to use a fork and spoon.  And for those skeptics out there just remember I didn't say how well he could do these things just that he could do them. :)  Our little man is definitely growing up and we are loving every minute of it.  Each day brings something to look forward to and a bigger heart than the day before.

Amazingly as much that was on his face and hand he was able to eat over 2/3 of the container on his own.

Oh and to toot our horn a little more, you will be excited to hear that our little guy is slowly creeping his way into the terrible two's.  The lack of communication skills can definitely been seen around bedtime, dinner time, coming in from outside, and well whenever he thinks he should have something and can't. :)  Yep, we are a normal family just like everyone else.  Those cute baby blues annoy and push us to our limits while making us fall deeper in love with every hug and kiss that comes after the hissy fit.
